Get to Know Us

Flexible Success is a nonprofit organization driven by a heartfelt mission: to bring the benefits of flexible seating to children in lower-income school districts. Our inspiration came from firsthand experience. My sister, who passionately incorporates flexible seating in her special education classrooms, attests to its transformative impact on learning experiences. Witnessing the joy, engagement, and improved focus it brings to students, we recognized its universal value. Flexible seating isn't just about comfort; it's about creating dynamic environments where children can thrive, releasing pent-up energy while absorbing knowledge optimally. At Flexible Success, we believe that every child, regardless of their background, deserves access to these empowering learning tools. Join us in our journey to make flexible seating a standard in every classroom, enriching educational experiences for generations to come.

What is flexible seating?

What is it?

Flexible seating in a classroom involves replacing traditional desks with a variety of seating options such as bean bags, standing desks, rugs, or floor cushions. This setup allows students to choose where and how they sit, promoting comfort, collaboration, and a more personalized learning environment.

How does it help?

Flexible seating promotes student engagement by accommodating different learning styles and preferences. It fosters a more comfortable and less restrictive environment, encouraging movement and varied postures, which can enhance focus and productivity. It also supports collaboration and communication among students, as they can easily reconfigure their seating for group activities. Additionally, it promotes independence and responsibility as students learn to make choices about their learning space, potentially leading to increased motivation and ownership of their education.
